Summer Giveaway Hop: Aug 1-7

ANSWER: Normally I do not listen to music when reading. I am either on my porch with a cup of coffee or I have the TV on in the background. If there is music on it is the radio tuned to the Froggy 99.9.

This was extremely hard (as I am sure it was for everyone) because I have discovered tons of new authors this year. Off the top of my head the books that stuck with me were Patricia Briggs (Mercy Thompson series) and Michelle Moran (Nefertiti).

The book I am currently reading is By Fire, By Water by Mitchell James Kaplan. I received this book from the author (thank you very much!) and so far have enjoyed it immensely!! It is a historical fiction book about Luis de Santangel, chancellor to the court of King Ferdinand and Queen Isabel. I am so happy that I don't have to work tomorrow so I can really get some reading in!

This week's question:  Tell us about some of your favorite authors and why they are your favorites!

My answer: A couple of my favorite authors are Laurell K. Hamilton and Philippa Gregory. I love Hamilton because her books keep me wanting more and more and more! Gregory's writing is my favorite because it takes me to the time she is writing about and makes me feel like I am there. Her descriptions of the clothing and what they ate, etc., is just incredible!
